Sour Voginas!

Who isn't a fan of "Orangina"?? One of my ALL TIME favorite drinks is a "Vogina" orangina and vodka....now we were thinking, how do we make it super tasty?? add jello and sour raspberry!!! 

This mouth watering delicious jello shot is so very satisfying 

the recipe:

Orange Pineapple Jello (or just plain orange jello)

instead of water, use one cup of boiled orangina

half a cup of vodka

half a cup of sour puss raspberry

for fanciness, to the bottom of each shot we added one swedish berry, also adds a beautifully interesting texture!!!!

Fizzy Delight

We needed something clear to show off the colour of a beautiful raspberry.
After some brainstorming and outside help, and ideas, it was decided to go with 7up, so we added gelatin to 7up and watched the magic ensue....it bubbled and fizzed and looked AMAZING! there were many doubts as to whether it would set or not, but in the end it set into a wonderful clear jelly that all it took was placing a raspberry in the centre of as a floater to add significant beauty and elegance!

The B-52!

In the tradition of bar shots, everyone has heard of the B-52, we have come up with the jellied version!
Three layers of absolute beauty and not skimping on taste!


Bottom Layer: Grand Marnier, coffee and gelatin 
Middle Layer: Bailey's, coffee and gelatin
Top Layer: Grand Marnier, water, gelatin


done as a layered shot we used coffee to set the gelatin on the first two layers, but on the top layer we used water so that the colour was not compromised. 

Coffee Shots take 1...

I know there is no coffee flavoured jello, however I MADE COFFEE JELLO!!!!!!! 


This is the "Special Coffee Shot" inspired by my parents....


when growing up there was a tradition in my house on Sundays, and any day that we were out the boat, or at the cabin, we would start each day with a special coffee.  It was always a comforting smell to me!

Special Coffee Shot: 1 cup coffee, half cup Kahlua, half cup Bailey's Irish Cream, 1 Packet Gelatin. 


the result.... a perfect morning/mid day/evening pick me up!

Rainbow Jello Shots...

When you declare this summer "Jello Shot Summer" the brain juices really begin flowing, it's not a summer of normal jello shots....it's time for extreme experimentation! We have been making single colour jello shots for quite a while now and here are some things that we have come up with so far, 

Lime and Coconut: Lime Jello, Coconut Rum

Cinnamon Hearts: Cherry Jello, Fireball

Double Raspberry: Raspberry Jello, Raspberry Vodka

and of course plain vodka with every colour jello there is.

We need to be more creative, so the first thing we thought of was the RAINBOW SHOTS !!!!

pictures will follow but here is the basic recipe that was used....

Layer one: PURPLE: Grape Jello, Blue Curacao, and Blueberry Cream liqueur.

Layer two: BLUE: Berry Blue Jello, Blue Curacao

Layer three: GREEN: Lime Jello, Melon Liqueur

Layer four: YELLOW: Lemon  Jello, Lemon Schnapps

Layer five: ORANGE: Orange Jello, Vodka

Layer six: Red: Strawberry Jello, Strawberry Liqueur, Banana Liqueur

each layer takes about 3 hours to set separately before you can add the next colour, we used plastic wine cups to layer into, then decided these shots might need to be eaten with a spoon but will be SUPER tasty! They kind of make me want to do a pastel rainbow with cool whip added in..... so many ideas! luckily we have all summer to do them!!!!
